About Music for Missions
Music Doing More
Music for Missions is an independent record label that donates 2/3 of all CD and Music Download profits to various mission organizations. Founded in 2002 by recording artist Eric Parker, Music for Missions produces albums for independent artists who want to use a portion of their CD revenues to support Christian missions across the globe and at home.
Over the last 10 years Music for Missions has partnered with many organizations on different evangelical and mercy projects. The bulk of the CD revenue however has gone to the mission organization Gospel for Asia. Music for Missions has donated the funds to fully construct two church buildings in Asia through the Gospel for Asia church building fund. We have also supported GFA in their mercy ministry to the 2005 Tsunami victims and are now making donations to the cyclone victims. In addition, Music for Missions sponsors one child through the GFA Bridge of Hope ministry and hopes to grow that number in the coming year.
Eric Parker's 2008 release, From the Shoulders of Giants will be funding the ministry of International Justice Mission. IJM is a human rights agency that secures justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression. IJM lawyers, investigators and aftercare professionals work with local officials to ensure immediate victim rescue and aftercare, to prosecute perpetrators and to promote functioning public justice systems. IJM President Gary Haugen was the inspiration for Parker in 2002 that led to the founding of Music for Missions. We are excited and thankful to finally be partnering with them with this new project. Bill Alexson will also be supporting IJM with the profit from his album When the Streetlights Come On.
Parker's latest release, Washed to the Sea will be supporting the work of Scenic City Women's Network.
