Founder - Writer - Performer

Eric Parker founded Music for Missions in March 2002.  Inspired by a speech by Gary Haugen, president of the International Jusitce Mission, Eric started the independent record label to produce independent artist who wanted to use their CD proceeds to support world missions.

Eric is not only a recording artist, but he also leads music at his home church, First Presbyterian Church of Chattanooga PCA.  His new CD titled From the Shoulders of Giants is a collection of old hymns put to original modern music.

Eric has been a member of the Progressive Rock group Glass Hammer since 2003.  But his own music is a mixture of folk rock and modern rock.  The addition of a string trio to his group makes for a very unique sound.

Eric wrote most of the material for the 2002 Music for Missions release A Remedy Raised.  Eric also donated three tracks the the Music for Mission's sophomore release All This Time, as well as the first two installments of the CPR (Christian Progressive Rock) projects.

Although Parker has donated tracks to all of these various projects, From the Shoulders of Giants will be his first true solo release.  The Album release date is December 5th, 2008.
